Identify the boxed call before its trailing edge leaves the glowing window. Pausing holds all timers.

One species at a time. Safer calls come first. Each following Field level includes every species learned so far, arriving in pairs.
Maintain flock foraging health, identify calls, and respond to acoustic or visual predator events.
Red, orange, green, and blue represent posterior risk states. Saturation represents confidence.
Bird artwork represents the species. Blue rings surround each species pair; small call labels retain risk-state colors.
Higher birds forage higher in the forest. Recorded heights remain in the scene data; slightly smaller birds are farther away.
Scan the QR and use a phone for call responses, Hawk Alert, direction, and transport controls.
Six species, 19 distinct calls. Listen to real rainforest recordings and trace how information travels through the flock.
Species artwork is adapted from photographs credited to Hector Bottai, Luiz Carlos Rocha, cello caruso-turiello, Vincent A. Vos, and Lindolfo Souto. Each image’s source, original license, and modifications are listed below.
Field mode shows two logical individuals per species, each with its own health. Correct identifications recover both living partners; a wrong or missed call penalizes one randomly selected living member of the heard species. Configured floaters may refill a lost slot. Normal calls accept either partner. Direction challenges use explicitly simulated, view-linked panning of unchanged source excerpts and grade the audible logical individual; sex is not inferred from a recording. Full names remain in information cards and accessibility labels. Cards fill the left side before the right; Hide species cards and Expand species card control the whole stack.
Bird icons use transparent modified representative artwork. For the logical MYME female, the user explicitly approved the existing MYAX female artwork as a borrowed representative; it is not MYSC and does not assert that the illustration depicts a Gray Antwren. MYME identity and recordings are unchanged. The previously confirmed Gray Antwren photograph and all masters are preserved and unused. Desktop information cards have Hide/Expand controls; mobile has no species cards or Expand button.
Optional illustrative understory uses CC0 whole fern and broadleaf plant meshes from Poly Haven, with separate leaf-litter/dirt islands and exposed grid gaps. Placement, plant scale and floor height are artistic, not measured terrain or site-verified species. Original point records and measured RGB view remain separate. Understory asset provenance.
Measured points keep their original coordinates and RGB. Interface uses faint measured dots across the full view and adds illustrative translucent bark, foliage and supported ground; these are hypotheses, not a trained reconstruction. Woody tint uses the registered accepted crop confidence only. Measured RGB shows stronger source points and removes enrichment and tint. Original photographs and measured data are retained separately; photograph redistribution rights remain unconfirmed.
Every active flock individual has been lost.
Turn media volume up and select this phone or your headphones as the audio output. On older iOS, turn Silent Mode off. These tests use no microphone.
Each test plays two quiet beeps.
